Metalpunks

Aboard their ship, The Argonne, the Metal Punks had the labs, the scientists, and the time to solve any problem with a do-it-yourself mentality. This eventually led to a very fractious population that agreed on survival but didn’t agree on how to go about it. Their genetic experiments and body modifications eventually reached the point they were no longer purely human. Many had become sterile, and then their male-to-female ratio began to skew, with more females surviving to adulthood than males. Cloning worked for reproduction, but eventually, the genetic degradation became unmanageable. They managed to hold on, but when they arrived on Kerberos, they were the smallest of the factions and the most biologically divergent, with unnatural coloration, extra limbs, and cyberware necessary to maintain their health.

The metal punks call themselves “The People,” as this is how they thought of themselves after the calamity. They are prone to infighting and emotional outbursts but hold their humanity high and always prioritize taking care of each other in the end. They have the most social support networks of all the factions, even the Earthers, though they front sneers and rude gestures while pointing a chrome blaster at the world.

They are individualistic in their clothing, incorporating bright colors, archaic armor, bondage gear, and old earth animal prints. Every single Metal Punk has augmentations, often extra limbs. Their augmentations can be for their professions but are also just as often for fashion. They will also modify themselves for clan identity, with colorful tattoos and clan-specific modifications.
